Pacaya Samiria with Amazon wildlife tours. A great experience in Amazon forest. The 4 day 3 nights tour to Pacaya Samiria with Amazon wildlife tours went excellent. The local guide Herman was of excellent knowledge about the all animals and plants we could possibly meet during the trip. He was very keen for us to see as much as possible and did his outmost. Great trip Our 2D/1N Amazon rainforest trip was a fantastic experience, made even better by our guide, Allen. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made every part of the trip enjoyable. We explored the rainforest, spotted wildlife, and even tried a bit of piranha fishing, which was a fun addition to the adventure. We also loved all the boat roads and spotting the birds. One of the Best Ever One of the best tours of my life.. we had 4 days booked with them. Chori our boat captain. Mari our chef and Lezer our guide... Best trio we had for 4 days.. we did more than we thought, they went above and beyond to make sure we see enough of the jungle, find spots to see wildlife. They were flexible with schedule and we went on night as well as day hikes..always ready to go again day and night. Amazing experience in South America!! Everything was absolutely fantastic! I’d like to give a special shout-out to the skill of both the guide and the driver—everything went exactly according to plan! We visited so many interesting places. ¡Excelente experiencia con un gran equipo! Hicimos el tour a Pacaya Samiria de 4 días/3 noches y tuvimos una experiencia increíble. El equipo de guiado que nos acompañó (Lisser, Mary y Chorri) fueron de primera. Tuvimos aventuras desde las 5:30am hasta las 8pm sin parar, cada una mejor que la anterior y con mucho respeto y admiración por la selva. Todos los guías conocen a la perfección la flora y fauna presente en la zona, tuvimos la oportunidad de observar aves constantemente y de encontrar ranas, serpientes y escorpiones en nuestras caminatas nocturnas. Amazing! My experience with Wildlife Amazon Tours was absolutely incredible from start to finish. I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days, and honestly, I wish I could have stayed even longer. A huge part of what made this trip so special was Alan. He is unbelievably knowledgeable about wildlife and the Amazon ecosystem—it felt like every walk, boat ride, or excursion turned into a fascinating learning experience. What really stood out, though, was how much he genuinely cared about making sure we had the best possible time. He went out of his way again and again to tailor the experience, point out hidden wildlife, and make every moment memorable. The food was another highlight of the trip. Every meal was fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. It added so much comfort after long days of exploring, and there was always something new and satisfying to enjoy. The entire trip was also extremely well planned. From activities to timing, everything flowed smoothly without ever feeling rushed. It struck a perfect balance between adventure, relaxation, and discovery. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience. Amazon wildlife and cultural experiences I want to start by saying that exploring the Amazon River was by far one of the most fabulous experiences I've had. The lodge offered a perfect mix of adventure and comfort. Wildlife sightings were amazing, we saw sloths hanging in the trees, baby caymans at night and even pink dolphins. We had the chance to swim in the river along the dolphins and it was magical. Our guide Allen was outstanding; he was always responsive and knew everything about the jungle. He personally took care of every part of our trip, making it effortless and completely enjoyable. Because of him, we were able to enjoy every second of our stay and not worry about other things. Incredible We spent three days in the jungle with Allen, and the place was absolutely incredible—far beyond anything I had imagined. We explored the Amazon River, where we encountered fascinating local wildlife. We fished for piranhas and even swam with dolphins—truly unforgettable experiences. I also had the chance to participate in an ayahuasca ceremony. Allen arranged for a shaman from a nearby village to lead the ritual. I’ve had psychedelic experiences before, but this was something entirely unique. The presence of the shaman, the atmosphere he created, and the strength of the brew itself made it an unbelievably powerful experience. Just amazing! Got a recommendation from a guy we met in a hostel to go on this Tour. We didn't do to much other research and just booked the three day tour. Best Decicion we ever made!Allen our guide and owner of the companie is an great guy, he loves what he is doing and his English is excellent!The different activities, the Lodge we stayed and the really amazing food we were served, didn't left any wishes open. Also there is a starlink connection in the lodge, so we were able go online when needed.For the first day it was just the two of us and Allen. We basicly had a privat lodge and tour. The second und third day another couple joined us. So no big group and incognito feeling. Very personal and individual premium experience. Couldn’t imagine doing Iquitos/the Amazon any other way My friend and I were looking for a day trip to explore the Amazon River and rainforest given our limited time in Iquitos. She found Amazon Wildlife Tours from reviews on Google and Trip Advisor and we’re so glad we did; I can’t imagine having done Iquitos any other way.Allen was very responsive and asked what we wanted to see and customized the experience for us. Our first day, we went on a tour of the Amazon River. On the way up, we stopped at Fundo Pedrito where we saw some wildlife, and at a lodge where we did a rainforest hike (we saw several species of monkeys, a sloth, and some birds) and had an amazing lunch. On the way back to Iquitos, we went piranha fishing (my friend caught 3!) and dolphin watching. It was exactly what we wanted to experience. Allen inquired about our plans for the next day and offered to help us with our planned excursions (to go to the Butterfly House and see Belen Market) and suggested we also visit the Bora tribe. We hadn’t realized we would need a boat to get to the Butterfly House. We were iffy on visiting the Bora tribe because we were concerned about trivializing an indigenous people. But Allen recommended it and it was a great experience and didn’t feel that way at all. He has a great relationship with the tribe and the experience was respectful of the tribe and their customs. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Allen is extremely knowledgeable, having worked for years in various tourism-related jobs around Iquitos. His english is impeccable. All the staff, in particular Alan, were accomodating, knowledgeable and flexible with what suited our itinerary best. Friendly, competent and always in a good mood We traveled with Amazon Wildlife Tours at the end of June 2025. From a short city tour to the Belem market, to a canoe trip on the Amazon and the Rio Nanay—everything was perfect and competent. Great Experience in the Amazon We just got back to the US from Peru - Allen the rest of the team gave us a great experience in the Amazon.We had recommendations from a local friend for the rest of our experiences in Peru, our stay in the Amazon was the only one we found on our own. So we were a little nervous flying into Iquitos going off online reviews. We were met at the airport by a trusted cab driver known to the team. We were then taken to the river and the adventure began! It is a small operation - it was just me, my wife, and 8yo son for the trip to the lodge, along with Allen and Julio the pilot of the boat (although others were at the lodge). They found us some grey and then pink river dolphins, then we went swimming in the Amazon. They were always flexible in what activities we did when, planning each day to fit what made sense based on the weather and our preferences. My son saw so much wildlife, held a caiman, caught and ate piranha, swam with dolphins. It was an amazing experience.On our last day our flight was late in the evening, so Allen helped us to spend some time in Iquitos rather than wait in the airport (Iquitos has a beautiful boulevard along the river). He held our bags for us and also went out of his way to make sure we had transportation to get to the airport on time. Full service!At the lodge the food was very good. There was plenty of filtered water available for us to fill our water bottles (the only time we found this in Peru).
