Before we begin this unforgettable adventure, we’d like to share a few important details and expectations to ensure your experience in the jungle is safe, comfortable, and truly memorable.
Tour Schedule
The tour begins at 9:00 a.m. with pick-up from your hotel or the airport.
Daily activities include river excursions, jungle hikes, wildlife spotting, cultural visits, and night walks.
The tour ends on the last day around 4:00 p.m. All times are approximate.
What to Expect
You’ll explore one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth. Expect to see monkeys, birds, insects, reptiles, and unique Amazonian plants.
Our tours are conducted in small groups (min. 2 - max. 12 people) to ensure a personalized and respectful experience in nature.
Activities may involve walking on muddy or uneven trails, getting in and out of boats, and changing weather conditions—so flexibility and a spirit of adventure are essential!
• We provide nutritious meals using fresh local ingredients. If you are vegetarian, vegan, or have any food allergies, please let us know in advance.

- Bring only what you need for the jungle (1 backpack per person). Extra luggage can be stored at our Iquitos office.
- Essentials: long-sleeve clothing, bathing suit (optional), insect repellent, sunscreen, water bottle, hat, flashlight, rain poncho, and binoculars.
- Wi-Fi is available at the lodge during specific hours (07.30 a.m. –8.30am, 1: 00p.m – 2.30pm. and 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.).
- Remember: the jungle is a remote and wild environment—expect rustic comforts, but also a deep connection with nature.

Amazon Lodge – 4 Days / 3 Nights
DAY 1: ARRIVAL & FIRST CONTACT WITH THE JUNGLE
- Upon arrival in Iquitos (airport or hotel), you’ll be greeted by our local team and transferred by vehicle to the port—where the real adventure begins. Before boarding, we’ll visit the Bellavista Nanay Market, where river communities offer their local products, providing a genuine glimpse into Amazonian life.
- Boat journey along the majestic Amazon River in a safe, traditional vessel that will take you directly to the lodge. Enjoy the ride while observing tropical birds, riverside villages, and breathtaking jungle scenery.
- Welcome at the lodge. Upon arrival, enjoy a refreshing natural cocktail. Take in the rustic, sustainable atmosphere of our eco-friendly cabins, designed to blend harmoniously with the rainforest.
- Amazonian lunch prepared with local ingredients, unique flavors, and traditional recipes.
- Visit to Monkey Island. Explore this rescue and conservation sanctuary, home to various species of monkeys that have been rehabilitated and now roam freely. Learn about their behavior, diet, and role in the ecosystem.
- Wildlife observation along the riverbanks: spot exotic birds, sloths, iguanas, and more.
- Unforgettable Amazon sunset. Enjoy a magical moment as the sun sets behind the lush canopy, painting the sky in orange, violet, and crimson tones.
- Night walk in the jungle. Explore a completely different ecosystem after dark. Discover colorful frogs, glowing insects, reptiles, amphibians, and listen to the mysterious sounds of the rainforest night.
- End the day with a comforting dinner at the lodge. Spend the night in your private cabin, surrounded by the sounds of nature.
DAY 2: DEEP EXPLORATION OF THE JUNGLE AND ITS RIVERS
- Begin your day with a unique experience: a sunrise boat ride as the jungle awakens. Watch the mist rise from the river and listen to birdsong, distant monkeys, and other iconic Amazon sounds.
- Energizing breakfast at the lodge.
- River excursion in search of the iconic pink and gray Amazon dolphins. If you’re lucky, you’ll see them leaping playfully near the boat.
- Traditional artisanal fishing using local techniques. Try to catch a piranha or another native species—always with responsible practices.
- Optional swim in the river in safe, supervised areas—a refreshing and revitalizing experience.
- Lunch at the lodge, featuring flavors that blend tradition, sustainability, and the essence of the jungle.
- Boat exploration of the Yanayacu River, known for its black waters and rich biodiversity. Look for monkeys, sloths, exotic birds, and unique regional flora.
- Traditional Amazonian dinner, accompanied by the ambient sounds of the nocturnal jungle.
- Optional evening talk about life in the Amazon, local community traditions, and the challenges of conservation.
DAY 3: WILDLIFE AND UNIQUE AMAZONIAN FLORA
- Healthy breakfast at the lodge with seasonal Amazonian fruits.
- Guided jungle walk into the heart of the forest—perfect for nature lovers and adventurers. Discover ancient trees, giant hanging lianas, and animal tracks. Learn about medicinal and edible plants used by Indigenous communities while enjoying birdsong and the cool jungle environment.
- Lunch at the lodge and short rest.
- Excursion to spot the Hoatzin (Shansho), a pre-historic, Jurassic-looking bird unique to the Amazon.
- Observation of the Victoria Amazonica, one of the world’s largest aquatic plants, whose enormous lily pads can support the weight of a small child.
- Traditional Amazonian dinner and a well-earned rest in your cabin.
DAY 4: LIVING CULTURE & FAREWELL
- Early breakfast, accompanied by the natural sounds of the jungle.
- Visit to the Morphosapi Butterfly Center, dedicated to the conservation of Amazonian butterflies. Learn about their life cycle and admire their stunning natural beauty.
- Cultural encounter with the Yagua community, one of the Amazon’s oldest and most representative ethnic groups. Learn about their customs, traditional dress, and ancestral language. Participate in a demonstration of dances, crafts, and the use of a blowgun.
- Return to the lodge for a short rest.
- Farewell lunch, sharing final moments with fellow travelers and our team.
- Boat transfer back to Iquitos, with estimated arrival around 4:00 PM. The end of an unforgettable journey—and the beginning of a new connection with nature.

Our lodge is strategically located approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) from the city of Iquitos, deep in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon. Accessible only by boat, the journey begins with a scenic navigation along the majestic Amazon River, offering stunning views of lush rainforest, local communities, and diverse wildlife.
This remote and pristine location provides the perfect base for immersive jungle experiences, while still allowing convenient access from Iquitos—the main gateway to the northern Amazon.
