Before we begin this unforgettable adventure, we’d like to share a few important details and expectations to ensure your experience in the jungle is safe, comfortable, and truly memorable.
Tour Schedule
The tour begins at 9:00 a.m. with pick-up from your hotel or the airport.
Daily activities include river excursions, jungle hikes, wildlife spotting, cultural visits, and night walks.
The tour ends on the last day around 4:00 p.m. All times are approximate.
What to Expect
You’ll explore one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth. Expect to see monkeys, birds, insects, reptiles, and unique Amazonian plants.
Our tours are conducted in small groups (min. 2 - max. 12 people) to ensure a personalized and respectful experience in nature.
Activities may involve walking on muddy or uneven trails, getting in and out of boats, and changing weather conditions—so flexibility and a spirit of adventure are essential!
- A professional bilingual naturalist guide will accompany you during your entire stay, providing insights into the flora, fauna, and local culture.
- We provide nutritious meals using fresh local ingredients. If you are vegetarian, vegan, or have any food allergies, please let us know in advance.
- Bring only what you need for the jungle (1 backpack per person). Extra luggage can be stored at our Iquitos office.
- Essentials: long-sleeve clothing, bathing suit (optional), insect repellent, sunscreen, water bottle, hat, flashlight, rain poncho, and binoculars.
- Wi-Fi is available at the lodge during specific hours (07.30 a.m. –8.30am, 1: 00p.m – 2.30pm. and 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.).
- Remember: the jungle is a remote and wild environment—expect rustic comforts, but also a deep connection with nature.

Amazon Lodge – 5 Days / 4 Nights
A Deep Immersion into the Heart of the Amazon Experience a transformative, sustainable, and deeply connected journey with nature. Explore the Amazon with all your senses. Over five days, this journey will take you far beyond conventional tourism: you’ll navigate legendary rivers, walk through untouched forests, engage with ancestral cultures, and discover biodiversity found nowhere else on Earth.
DAY 1: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE – FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH THE WILD
- Upon your arrival in Iquitos (airport or hotel), our local team will welcome you and transfer you by vehicle to the port, where the true adventure begins. Before boarding, we’ll visit the Bellavista Nanay Market, where local river communities sell their regional products—a genuine window into Amazonian life.
- Boat journey along the majestic Amazon River in a safe, traditional boat, heading straight to the lodge. Enjoy the scenery with views of tropical birds, riverside villages, and the lush jungle.
- Welcome at the lodge. Upon arrival, enjoy a refreshing natural cocktail and settle into your eco-friendly cabin, designed to blend harmoniously with the rainforest.
- Amazonian lunch, prepared with local ingredients, traditional recipes, and unique flavors.
- Visit to Monkey Island. Explore this wildlife sanctuary and rescue center, home to various species of monkeys that have been rehabilitated and now live freely. Learn about their behavior, diet, and ecological role.
- Wildlife observation along the riverbanks: spot exotic birds, sloths, iguanas, and more.
- Unforgettable Amazon sunset. Watch the sun set over the forest as the sky turns brilliant shades of orange, violet, and red.
- Night walk in the jungle. Discover a completely different ecosystem after dark. Spot colorful frogs, glowing insects, reptiles, amphibians, and listen to the mysterious sounds of the rainforest at night.
- Dinner at the lodge and overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of nature in your private cabin.
DAY 2: DEEP JUNGLE – WILDLIFE, ADVENTURE & NATURAL WISDOM
- Begin the day with a sunrise boat ride, a magical experience as the jungle awakens. Watch the mist lift from the river and hear the chorus of birds, monkeys, and other Amazon sounds.
- Energizing breakfast at the lodge.
- Guided jungle walk into the heart of the rainforest. Perfect for nature lovers and adventurers, this hike will take you through ancient trees, giant lianas, and animal tracks. Learn about plants used by Indigenous communities for medicine and food while enjoying the cool forest and birdsong.
- Return to the lodge for a well-deserved regional lunch.
- River excursion in search of pink and gray dolphins. With luck, you’ll see them jumping near the boat.
- Traditional artisanal fishing using local methods. Try to catch a piranha or another native species—always with sustainable practices.
- Optional swim in the Amazon River, in safe, supervised areas—a refreshing and unforgettable experience.
- Traditional Amazonian dinner, accompanied by the ambient sounds of the jungle.
- Optional cultural talk at night: learn about jungle life, customs, beliefs, and the challenges faced by those living in this ancient environment.
DAY 3: YANAYACU RIVER – A DAY OF DISCOVERY
- Early breakfast at the lodge.
- Full-day exploration of the Yanayacu River, known for its black waters, mirrored reflections, and incredible biodiversity. Observe exotic birds, monkeys, reptiles, and towering rainforest vegetation.
- Picnic lunch or return to the lodge (depending on conditions).
- Visit to the Lupuna tree, one of the largest and most sacred trees in the Amazon—standing over 40 meters tall and spiritually important to local communities.
- Dinner at the lodge and well-earned rest.
DAY 4: CONNECTION & ANCESTRAL WISDOM
- Sunrise breakfast to start the day.
- Excursion to observe the Hoatzin (Shansho), a unique, "prehistoric" bird with ancient characteristics found only in the Amazon.
- Observation of the Victoria Amazonica, the giant water lily with floating leaves over one meter in diameter.
- Lunch at the lodge.
- Navigation to the community of Santa María de Fátima, where you’ll immerse yourself in daily Amazonian life.
- Guided walk through virgin rainforest, focusing on the identification of medicinal plants, hardwood trees, botanical associations, and with luck, the sighting of monkeys, reptiles, and birds.
- Return to the lodge. Dinner and overnight rest.
DAY 5: LIVING CULTURE & A HEARTFELT FAREWELL
- Early breakfast.
- Visit to the Morphosapi Butterfly Center, a conservation project where you’ll discover various butterfly species, their life cycles, and their essential ecological role.
- Cultural encounter with the Yagua Tribe, one of the most iconic Indigenous groups of the Amazon. Participate in an authentic exchange, including dances, traditional blowgun demonstrations, and explanations of their worldview.
- Return to the lodge for some time to relax and enjoy your last moments in the jungle.
- Farewell lunch.
- Boat transfer back to Iquitos, with estimated arrival around 4:00 PM. The end of an unforgettable experience—and the beginning of a new connection with nature.

Our lodge is strategically located approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) from the city of Iquitos, deep in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon. Accessible only by boat, the journey begins with a scenic navigation along the majestic Amazon River, offering stunning views of lush rainforest, local communities, and diverse wildlife.
This remote and pristine location provides the perfect base for immersive jungle experiences, while still allowing convenient access from Iquitos—the main gateway to the northern Amazon.
